On the occasion of the 94th National Day… Instructions from the Minister of Islamic Affairs regarding the upcoming Friday sermon

Today, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif bin Abdulaziz Al Sheikh, instructed the distinguished preachers of mosques in all regions of the Kingdom to dedicate the upcoming Friday sermon, on the seventeenth day of the month of Rabi' al-Awwal 1446 AH, to the importance of reminding people to be grateful for the blessings that God has bestowed on this blessed country, including the blessings of security, the unity of the ranks and the meeting of the floor under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and his trusted Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman – may God protect them.

The instruction included reminding of the importance of thanking God Almighty for the blessing of safety which the people of this country experience, whether in themselves, in their families, or in their money, and explaining its value, according to the words of God, blessed be He and Almighty: {Let them worship the Lord of this House, Who fed them from hunger and protected them from fear}, and what was said in the hadith, narrated by Ubayd Allah bin Muhsin, may God be pleased with him, is that the Messenger of God – God's prayers and peace be upon him – said: (Whoever of you wakes up safe in his flock, healthy in his body, having food for his day, it is as if the world had been given to him) Narrated by al-Tirmizi and Ibn Majah.

This also included instructing preachers to explain the importance of preserving national unity, unity of ranks and unity of the word under the leadership of this blessed country in compliance with the words of the Truth, Blessed and Most High: {And hold firmly all together to the rope of God and do not be divided, and remember the grace of God that was upon you when you were enemies and He united your hearts so that by His grace you became brothers}, as well as emphasizing the importance of mosque preachers' need to strengthen the values ​​of citizenship among young people so that they can become partners in the construction and progress that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is experiencing in all fields, protect them from extremist thoughts, and educate them in moderation and restraint.
