US stock market indices closed mixed today.
The Dow Jones index fell 0.7 percent or 293 points to 41,914 points.
The Standard & Poor's 500 index fell about 0.2 percent, or 10 points, to 5,722.
The Nasdaq index closed at 18,082 points, up about 7.7 per cent or 0.04 per cent.
