Under pressure from US production, oil prices have fallen by more than 3% in a week

Record US production hit oil prices and they suffered losses during the week.

Brent crude fell 3.4% during the week, while Nymex declined 3.2%, and both crudes had posted a monthly gain of 2% last October.
