Today, the Emir of the Hail Region, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad bin Abdulaziz, inaugurated a number of infrastructure and development projects in the region, including the Suwaifla Bridge project and a number of parks and roads, in the presence of the Secretary of the Region, Engineer Sultan bin Hamid Al Zaidi.
During his tour of the region, His Excellency was briefed on the completed projects of the Secretariat, including the Suwaifla Bridge project, which cost 53,841,835 riyals, with a length of about 1,000 meters and a width of 9 meters, aimed at eliminating flood hazards, facilitating traffic in two directions, and connecting residential neighborhoods, and as the Secretariat of the region was keen to hail, represented by the project agency and the rainwater drainage department, maintained and rehabilitated the infrastructure, where today the completion rate reached 100%.
His Highness the Emir of Hail also inspected infrastructure projects, quality of life and humanization of cities during the year 2024, as the total area of parks reached (595,752) square meters and the number of green spaces reached (348,800) square meters, as well as a bicycle path with a length of (17,600) square meters, and a path for the blind with a length of (43,200 square meters), and (1,096) playgrounds, fitness equipment, toys for people with special needs, and garden furniture. The project also includes a bridge over Wadi Al-Adira to transport traffic during rain, ensuring that it is not obstructed, and eliminating flood hazards, and connecting residential neighborhoods between the two sides to drain floodwaters and overcome its risks in the city of Hail in order to achieve sustainable development in the city, rehabilitate infrastructure, water and environmental sustainability and thus contribute to improving the quality of life for the city's residents.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Saad, following up on His Excellency the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, praised the support of the wise leadership for development projects, including the Hail region municipality projects, praising the speed and quality of the project completion and the efforts of the mayors of the region and those in charge of projects and programs that continue to achieve excellence and achievement, pointing out that Hail is its new development destination, thanks to God, the goals of Vision 2030 have been achieved.
