Today, the Red Sea Film Foundation is holding an awards ceremony for the “48-Hour Filmmaking Challenge” which aims to encourage promising talents to deviate from the norm in their cinematic projects, in addition to discovering innovative minds in the world of independent filmmaking, at the Jameel Film District in Jeddah.
The Red Sea Film Foundation, in collaboration with the Consulate General of France in Jeddah and the Embassy of France in the Kingdom, revealed last June the teams selected for the fourth edition of the “Filmmaking in 48 Hours” challenge in 2024.
The ceremony will be held in the presence of Mohamed Asiri, CEO of the Red Sea Film Foundation, and Mohamed Nahad, Consul General of the Republic of France in the Kingdom, in addition to the jury, which will include Egyptian artist Ahmed Malek and Saudi artist Sarah Taiba.
Teams nominated to participate in this creative challenge had: The opportunity to receive artistic workshops and mentoring programs, including a film directing workshop, writing and editing workshops, in addition to artistic production workshops.
The awards ceremony will see the arrival of participating teams on the red carpet and the announcement of the winners, celebrating the creative achievements of talented filmmakers.
