King Faisal University has launched an initiative to free several endangered fungal organisms

Today, King Faisal University's Vice Deanship for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, represented by the Research and Training Station, in collaboration with the National Center for Wildlife Development, launched an initiative to release several endangered local fungal organisms within the research . Safari Park at the Research and Training Station, in the presence of the President of the University, Professor Dr. Adel Abu Zinada.

The initiative included the release of Arabian oryx, sand deer, emu ostrich, brown deer and other creatures.

This initiative comes under the university's program for propagation and rehabilitation of endangered fungal organisms, and accelerates its efforts to rehabilitate ecosystems and enrich biodiversity in the state, with the aim of enhancing biodiversity conservation at the research and training station. The university is also working on training and teaching on a number of animals and increasing research opportunities.

The University also announced specific achievements at the conclusion of the second phase of the University's Research and Innovation Strategy within the Institutional Funding Program funded by the University Affairs Council.

These achievements enhance the state's leadership in the fields of food security, environmental sustainability, agricultural science and alternative and renewable energy.

The President of the University, Professor Dr. Adel Abu Zinada, appreciated the great support that higher education institutions receive from the wise leadership – may God protect them – and appreciated the instructions of His Excellency the Minister of Education, Chairman of the University Affairs Council. Emphasizing that this support had a significant impact in achieving these distinctive research achievements.

Dr. Mansour Al-Yahya, Dean of Scientific Research at the university, said that the university's achievements include publishing 61 research papers and patents, 76 research papers, 4 innovative products and two patents in the field of agricultural sciences. Environmental Sciences, besides incubating five startup companies. The university also published more than 48 research papers in the field of information and communication technology, 33 research papers and two patents in the field of energy, and 46 research papers and 4 patents in the field of health sciences.

The second phase of projects benefited 885 male and female researchers from within the university, in addition to researchers from local and international universities.
