RIYADH — Saudi Arabia recorded the delivery of 16,160 twins in the course of the 12 months 2022, based on the statistical figures launched by the Basic Authority for Statistics (GASTAT).
The GASTAT report, a replica of which was obtained by Okaz/Saudi Gazette, said that the full variety of Saudi female and male births in all areas of the Kingdom accounted for 417,155 births throughout final 12 months.
The Riyadh area recorded a complete of 96,619 births amongst Saudi moms, together with 92,253 single births, 4,140 twin births, and 226 births of triplets and extra. Within the Makkah area, 82,135 births had been registered, of which 78,881 had been single births, 3,092 had been twin births, and 162 had been births of triplets and extra.
The Madinah area recorded a complete of 31,894 births, together with 30,624 single births, 1,200 twin births, and 70 births of triplets and extra. The southern Asir area recorded 32,008 births of Saudi moms, together with 30,889 single births, 1,054 twin births, and 65 births of triplets and extra. Through the interval, the Jazan area registered 21,498 births, together with 20,671 single births, 788 instances of dual births, and 39 instances of triplets and extra.
As for Al-Qassim area, it recorded a complete of 19,714 births, together with 19,013 single births, 658 twin births, and 43 triplet and extra births. The northern Tabuk area registered 15,658 births, together with 15,057 single births and 584 twin births and 17 instances of delivery of triplets and extra.
Within the Baha area, the full variety of births reached 4,982, together with 4,793 single births, 180 twin births, and 9 births of triplets and extra. The Najran area registered a complete of 11,048 births of Saudi moms, together with 10,612 single births, 414 twin births and 22 births of triplets and extra.
The Hail area recorded a complete of 12,132 births, together with 11,609 single births, 490 twin births, and 33 births of triplets and extra. As for Al-Jouf area, it registered 13,652 births of Saudi moms, together with 13,018 single births, 590 twin births, and 44 instances of triplets and extra. The Northern Border area recorded a complete of seven,845 births, together with 7,452 single births, 378 twin births, and 15 births of triplets and extra, the report identified.
