Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, noted the content of the royal speech he delivered on behalf of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques – may God protect him – to His Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister – may God protect him – during the opening of the first year of the ninth session of the Shura Council today.
The Foreign Minister stressed that the Honourable Royal Speech demonstrated the keenness and interest of the Kingdom and its leadership to strengthen cooperation with all countries around the world, to achieve a better future based on fruitful cooperation between countries and – may God bless – peoples.
He pointed out that the royal speech reaffirmed the centrality of the Palestinian issue and the Kingdom's interest in it, while strongly rejecting and condemning the crimes of the Israeli occupation authority against the brotherly Palestinian people, and continuing to work diligently towards the establishment of an independent Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The Foreign Minister said: The content of the Royal Speech emphasises the Kingdom's established political approach, which is based on respecting the independence and values of States, adopting the principle of good neighbourliness, non-interference in their internal affairs, avoiding resorting to force in resolving conflicts, and striving to enhance regional and international security and peace.
