More than 40 tons of relief supplies, Saudi air bridge to Lebanon launched today

Today, Sunday, the Saudi relief airlift to Lebanon will begin, with the first planes carrying urgent medical, relief and food aid arriving at Beirut's Rafik Hariri Airport.

According to Al Arabiya, the first Saudi aircraft carried more than 40 tons of relief supplies to aid those affected by the war in Lebanon, and the Saudi aid aircraft was accompanied by a relief team for rescue operations.

Lebanese government figures show that Israeli attacks since September 23 have forced approximately 1.2 million people to flee their homes.

Lebanon's health ministry said yesterday, Saturday, that the death toll since the start of hostilities had reached 2,255.
