1,579 mines were recovered through a project "hole" in Yemen within a week

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center “Masam” project to demine Yemeni lands during the period from September 28 to October 4, 2024 AD, was able to remove 1,579 mines in different areas of Yemen, including 5 anti-personnel mines. Were also included. 126 anti-tank mines, and 1,442 rounds of ammunition, and 6 explosive devices.

The “Massam” team was able to remove 123 anti-tank mines and 1,330 unexploded ordnance in Aden, and 6 explosive devices were removed in the Sanah district of al-Dhaliya Governorate and 6 in the Hayz district of al-Hudaydah Governorate. The team was able to remove two anti-tank mines and one unexploded ordnance, and in Assilan District, the team removed one anti-tank mine, two non-exploded ordnance, and in Bayhan District, 3 non-exploded ordnance. Cleared one anti-personnel mine and 9 unexploded ordnance in Al-Mukha District, 4 anti-personnel mines and 35 unexploded ordnance in Al-Muzaffar District and 62 unexploded ordnance in Al-Muzaffar District.

Thus, the number of mines removed since the beginning of the “Masam” project has increased to 465,252 mines, which were planted randomly in different Yemeni areas to claim more innocent victims, including children, women and the elderly.
