The General Civil Aviation Authority announced details of the process for granting the “Air Operator Certificate (AOC)”, which certifies compliance of commercial air transport operations with approved standards and regulations.
He said that the certificate is given after ensuring that the applicant is able to comply with the rules and meets the necessary financial, human and technical requirements.
The licensing process goes through five stages, beginning with a discussion on the type of operation and required documentation, followed by the official application submission stage, then an inspection and proof stage to ensure the ability to enforce regulations.
The entire licensing process takes about 9 months to ensure the safety and efficiency of flight operations.
