Ibrahim al-Nahhas, professor of political science at King Saud University, affirmed that the Kingdom calls on the international community to implement human rights conventions and international law regarding Israeli crimes and the displacement of Palestinians.
Al-Nahhas stressed the importance of translating into practice the slogans raised by the international community regarding human rights, and called for adherence to international conventions for which international organizations, including the United Nations, were established.
He pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia always calls for the protection of human rights and dignity regardless of religion, race or colour.
Al-Nahhas also stressed that the greatest responsibility for ensuring the security of Palestinians and the application of international law rests with the UN Security Council and its five permanent members.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s strongest condemnation and denunciation of the targeting of a school for displaced Palestinians in the Gaza Strip by Israeli occupation forces, which resulted in the loss of several lives, including staff of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Refugees (UNRWA).
