Since early 2024, the Center has conducted inspection visits that have included 9 mining complexes in 8 different regions of the Kingdom, and visited approximately 219 mining facilities. The number of violations resulting from the visits is approximately 314 environmental violations, the highest of which was practicing activity without obtaining an environmental permit, in addition, engaging in activity that damages the soil.
The Center also conducted a joint field visit to the Al-Arma mining complex, located in Rema, east of Riyadh city, in collaboration with the Mining Agency at the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the Saudi Mining Services Company. Which includes approximately 76 operating facilities and crushers.
